Good call Reese.

I was thinking the same thing. HTC with the G1 does not have the hardware to support that fresh Android software. The software is slick especially if you use Google products, but it isn't as smooth and pretty as an iPhone.

By early next year you will have Android on a couple different phones and more options. That means competition and most likely cheaper phones and you never know what they will come up with.

There is always the option of jailbreaking an iphone too.

I think you should stick it out until early next year sometime. I agree that the first generation android phone is a hardware disappointment. However, there are android phones slated to come out from all the major hardware manufacturers and carriers early next year. I am waiting to see what these other phones bring to the table. Plus, some of the other carriers may have a cheaper rate plan.

...but if your company is going to pay for it, then just get an iphone.

If your company is paying for it there is no reason to not get an iphone. I am sure you will not be dissapointed. Just be prepared to live inside the walls of iTunes.

Well, I wish I could have said I told you so, oh wait I can. I think it was me who once teased you about that silly little thing you call a phone, and like most you didn't listen. I therefore decided to lead by example capturing the attention of not 1 (Mutari) but 3 (Risk and Rachael) fellow converts of the iPhones superiority and stellar functionality. All I have to close is a simple quote from my old friend Samuel Johnson.

You got me thinking, everyone always talks about salt in an open wound, however I have never encountered salt around a fresh cut I've had. I think next time I get a petty flesh wound I'm going to throw a little salt in there and see what's what. Thanks!
